Recently, I discovered this great music platform called Australian Music Vault.
Who is AMV? And what is it all about?
Well here is all you need to know.
“The Australian Music Vault is being developed by Arts Centre Melbourne in consultation with the music industry, as a celebration of Australian Contemporary Music – past, present, and future.
Now open at Arts Centre Melbourne, the Australian Music Vault features an exhibition showcasing Australian music, innovative digital participatory experiences, iconic objects from our Performing Arts Collection, and an online presence that is a fully integrated extension of the visitor experience.
It’s a place to explore your love of music, revisit some of the big music moments of your life, share those memories and discover the exciting new stories of today’s Australian music scene. There’ll also be an ongoing calendar of performances,
Programs and events presented at Arts Centre Melbourne and via outreach to communities across Victoria.
The inaugural Australian Music Vault Patrons are legendary promoter Michael Gudinski, music guru, Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum, and legendary Australian artists Archie Roach, Kylie Minogue and Tina Arena.
An initiative of the Victorian Government’s Music Works strategy, the Australian Music Vault is being delivered by Arts Centre Melbourne in partnership with the music industry. Incorporating the ARIA Hall of Fame.” – Australian Music Vault
This is perfect for all you musicians out there, students studying music or you guys who are lovers of music.
Getting to know the roots of Australian music, history and the artists who have brought you, your favourite music that you still enjoy today.
Many events occur at Arts Centre Melbourne.
It’s open all year round and you can enjoy and experience like everyone else by heading to the links below and it’s FREE to visit the exhibition.
